David Buchanan birdied the fourth hole on his way to a 36, tying a faltering Shannon O’Brien and greenskeeper Mike Mitchell, also at 9 over par. Local chef Sweet Charlie Brannon was in the hunt until three consecutive double bogies ruined his day.
