This Old House

By Georgia Osten
It sure came to life! With the arrival of three Grands from Florida, growing to their two parents, then three more Grands from Friendswood, our daughter & son-in-law from League City and their niece, her husband and their little Jackson. The weather messed with us all week, but not so much we couldn’t enjoy some beaching with little Jackson. Oh my goodness, he loved crawling around in the sand at the water’s edge, picking up delicious shells or seaweed here and there.

The rain cooled down the pool a bit, but the next day’s sun warmed it up to a very refreshing temperature. The new golf cart was a big hit with the 16-year-old and her two younger brothers. Always carrying her new driver’s license with her, they took numerous rides up and down the beach. When she wasn’t taking them for rides, they enjoyed riding around the beach house in and out of and between trees and fences.

We got up bright and early Monday morning to catch the 4:20 ferry. The Florida crew were setting out on their newest adventure. They caught the 7am flight to Colorado Springs to pick up their RV. Big Michael has the trip all planned out. Three weeks of National Parks, all the way to the Grand Canyon. These kids are used to such travels. Many skiing trips in the US, not to mention all the international trips when they were stationed in Israel. World Travelers Extraordinaire!

In the meantime, PawPaw and I will take care of their fur babies, Knight & Texas, and get the house ready for their return.
