Though there was no festival this year, the Texas Crab Festival continued with the Golf Cart giveaway. Tickets began selling in January and have continued through covid quarantines, spring break, and all summer. The winning ticket was drawn on Sunday, September 6, and Kim Hill from Vidor is the proud owner of the 2020 TCF Golf Cart. Kim spent her summer on Bolivar, and knew the proceeds from ticket sales were used for youth scholarships through the TCF Charities. Kim felt an obligation to participate and contribute to the community’s youth. She dropped in to Texas Custom Carts just last Wednesday and purchased two tickets, one of which was the winner.

As she lounged on the beach on Sunday, a friend called to inform her that she won. In disbelief, she awaited the phone call confirming her luck. Kim was very excited to win her new cart, “I need THAT cart,” she emphasized, “I have an old one.”
