It was a busy weekend, I didn’t even have time to iron my pillowcases, they’re piling up! I always look forward to my weekends, I’m very stingy with my own time, and try to not show my resentment when I’m asked to do something out of the ordinary. I really need to figure out how to have a 4-day work week.
Saturday, I convinced my husband to come look at hot tubs with me. We had a place picked out up I-45 around Bay Area Blvd. Our daughter had already scoped it out for us. I had already gone through Home Depot online to order one, it was perfect, but it was out of stock, so I kept watching it. It finally became available, so I jumped on it. The amount remained on my “pending” statement for so long, I decided to give Home Depot a call. I was told the item was no longer available, it had been discontinued. So, I looked for another one on Home Depot’s website. The one I chose told me Sam’s offered the same one for $300 less. Off to Sam’s website I go.
In the meantime, I had to plead to Home Depot to go ahead and release the pending amount on my bank statement. Then, I had to convince the bank this amount was no longer valid.
I chose the one at Sam’s, but the next day, I changed my mind, because WE really wanted to see what we were buying. The rigamarole at Sam’s was excruciating, but ended up in an apology from Sam’s and a $50 gift card. Another lesson learned! You’d think after all these years, I wouldn’t be having to learn “more!”
I’m happy we ventured out to Shop, my husband tried all of them out for size and like Goldilocks and The Three Bears, he found just the right one.
Unfortunately, the wait time is 4-6 months, but we’re hoping for a miracle. At any rate, we’re through shopping and have much-needed time to prepare for our NEW TOY!
Then, on Sunday, I did my first Triathlon – GASP! (but I had to find my bike?)
