On Saturday, Samson Energy Company representatives attended a special dedication ceremony on Bolivar Peninsula for the new Jane Long Memorial. After several months of hard work by countless people, the new memorial at the entrance of Fort Travis was unveiled to many excited members of the local community.
The Jane Long Memorial comprised of Flag Poles, Historical Markers, and an approximately twenty-five foot tall edifice, was made possible by the generous efforts of Samson Energy, Bolivar Chamber of Commerce, and Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation. The memorial is sure to provide a lasting impression with tourists, historians, and the community itself.
“Samson is proud to participate in community projects such as helping fund the Jane Long memorial project on the Bolívar Peninsula” says Steve Trujillo, Manager Regulatory Affairs.
