Yep, I finally finished all my shopping. Even grocery shopping. Certainly, there’ll be more groceries to get once I get to Florida. Tomorrow, Santa aka PawPaw will deliver goodies to the families going to Colorado and Oklahoma. Then, we’ll be ready to head out on our trip on Wednesday. I do have some more baking to do. Gotta do the Jelly Cookies for those deserving grands. What’s a Christmas without Grandma’s Jelly Cookies? Mmmmmmmm, don’t they look good.
They’re actually not Jelly, they’re jam or preserves, and they’re called Jam Strip Cheesers. I found this recipe a hundred years ago in a Pillsbury book at the check out line of the grocery store. My husband had to laminate the old thing for me because it began crumbling with age. My youngest daughter gave me this for Christmas a few years ago.
I hope I have the energy; I’ve been sitting here at my desk yawning and wishing I could get a nap when I get home. Nope! I’m sure I’ll perk up once I’m out of this “freezer” with my little heater going full blast.
I’ve delivered almost all my local Christmas gifts. I wonder if Santa ever had to deal with all these mosquitos.
I’ll bring the goodies for my peeps at work tomorrow.
Oh da-da-dear-dear. I need to finish my story and get busy!
