The Second Annual Pearl Beach Charity BBQ Cook-off will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, on Clara Drive in Crystal Beach. This is a great community event, and all proceeds will be donated to Charity. Fire up your grill and join the fun. BBQ teams are signing up now (click here for Registration Form). Entry fee is $100 per team. Or if you just want to sample some of the best BBQ around, come on by.
BBQ Categories: There will be two BBQ categories; Brisket and Ribs. Each Team can enter both categories with one entry fee of $100. All cooking must take place on premise the day of the event. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for each category. The 1st place winner in the Brisket category will donate 25% of the entry proceeds to a charity of their choice. The 1st place winner in the Ribs category will donate 25% of the entry proceeds to a charity of their choice. The remaining 50% will be donated to The Lone Survivor Foundation, Crystal Beach Retreat Facility.
Judging: The judging for Ribs will be held at 1:30pm. The judging for Brisket will be held at 3:30pm. The announcement of the winners will take place immediately following the Brisket judging.
Arrival and Setup: You may arrive anytime Friday or early Saturday morning to setup. You may begin cooking at 4am on Saturday morning.
Spirit Award: New this year!! Show your TEAM SPIRIT!! There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Spirit awards for the Team with the most creative cooking area!
