Head golf pro Mike Mitchell and local percussionist Aaron Comeaux have a lot of things to be thankful for. Par, however was not one of those things Thursday at the Ranch. Neither golfer managed a single lousy par in the nine hole tourney. Mitchell struggled in with a 16 over par 43 while Comeaux stunk up the course with a 39. On Friday afternoon, Mitchell pounded the driver formerly known as either “the Green Weenie” or “Blue Thunder” down the fairway to set up a nice six-foot birdie putt for a skin on the opening hole. Mitchell has spray painted his driver a boring flat black. Joining Mitchell with skins were Michael Comeaux and Mike VanZandt, while Shannon O’Brien and David Buchanan were skunked. VanZandt had low score with a 39, Comeaux 40, and Buchanan 41.
