How many holidays has Hallmark made up? We were recently surprised (pleasantly) by a video from our Grands in Tel Aviv. Of all things, Grandparents Day. Well, thank you Grands and Hallmark! I can’t think of a better day than one where we receive a video, or even a phone call from one of them. My birthday was chock full of calls from the Grands, Emma in Indiana, and a text from The Grantster in Colorado, calls from our daughter in League City, calls from our daughter in Tel Aviv and calls and a video from The Littles & family in Friendswood. What a treat!
I recently put my oldest daughter on the path to find us a hot tub. With winter coming, we plan to cover the pool and find a place on the deck for a hot tub. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait! So anyway, she calls from time to time to tell me what she’s found in the way of Spas. This morning was just one of those calls. I love it. It’s so difficult to occupy all their time when they call, but I always try to keep it short. But geez, it’s so difficult!
This morning, I wasn’t even out of bed when the youngest daughter called from Israel. Heck, it was already 3 in the afternoon for her, I didn’t even have the sleep out of my eyes, hadn’t even had my coffee. It’s all good though, I found plenty to say and so did her Dad! Then, we showed her all the stuff on the table we planned to send. Which we did later on today – Velveeta cheese, vanilla, everyone’s favorite candy, like Hersheys, cherry bites licorice, caramel M&M’s, regular M&M’s, skittles, kisses and jerky. Oh yeah, the Lamborghini shirts for Little Michael’s B’day. Oops, I just remembered what I forgot – cake decorating stuff they left here this summer. Oh well, there will always be another box to send later.
Okay, I need to go plant some flowers I got yesterday, they’ll love the rain. I planted a couple of tomato plants yesterday, they’re getting a beneficial soaking.
