One more bucket of stickers I dug out of the yard today! By bucket, I mean my bucket on wheels, almost as big as a wheel barrow. It’s killing me, they’re taking over and I have no control. I used some Weed and Feed a few weeks ago, the Feed part took over, the stickers are greener than ever. Shortly after we moved in, probably this time of year, I battled with those pesky, painful little things. I spread the weed killer so much and so often, I finally killed the grass, but the stickers prevailed. Where are they in the “food chain?” Then, along came Ike and I didn’t have to worry about the lack of grass anymore, all we had was sand. As I look at the work I just did, it looks like the wild hogs did a number on my yard. Now there’s an idea, wonder if they like to eat stickers?
GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
