The Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club held their December meeting and social on Thursday, December 13th. We all gathered at Tiki Beach Bar and Grill for a brief meeting. Everyone brought at least one unwrapped toy. Folks who couldn’t make the meeting sent toys or merely stopped by to drop one off. Each meeting, I’m amazed at the turnout we have. We’ve grown from 20 members to over 45 since July!
With the help of Talisa Comeaux from Crenshaw and Eve Bradford from Community Outreach, we have adopted eleven families this Christmas. Our Elves, Toni Johnson, Annie Christian, Liz Sanders, Velma Rutherford, Charlotte Byus and Brenda Flanagan have been busily shopping, sorting and wrapping gift packages to deliver to our Christmas families.
God bless each and every one of our Lions Community – Giving From the Heart!
Way to go BPLC. Merry Christmas and may you all have Healthy & Prosperous coming New Year 2013. Keep up the good works for the services from the heart. That is what Lionism is all about. God Bless.
Again, I believe we are truly blessed with the new addition of the Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club. Already ya’ll have done great things in service for the community! People are taking notice. I see why BPLC will soon be the largest Lions club in the district. Merry Christmas to Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club.
I just love reading the Crystal beach local news website each week, I feel like I know you all personally.
From Long Island NY, Merry Christmas Bolivar, see you in April…
