The Jesse Tree is a nonprofit organization, founded in Galveston in 1995, with a mission to connect people and provide them with the resources to rebuild and uplift their lives and well-being. The Jesse Tree is now reaching out to the Bolivar Peninsula and the needs of the community, including providing flu shots and blood pressure tests, conducting different classes with tips to improve overall health and diet, and distributing food at the Port Bolivar Fire Department on Fridays. The Jesse Tree and UTMB Outreach are planning…a meeting on Sunday, February 26, at Crenshaw School to assess the needs of the community. A Facebook page has been created in order to keep everyone informed and updated on upcoming events and help bring the resources that will assist in the full rebuild and uplifting of the Bolivar Peninsula.
