Fantastic weather this past weekend energized me to get on out there and try to “pretty up” gardens dreadfully destroyed by Winter Storm 2021! I spent my Saturday going All the Way into town. First stop Blue Wave to get my filthy car washed, then on to Sam’s, Hobby Lobby, WalMart & James Avery. So much done before meeting up with my daughter for lunch at Panera. Oh, what a thrill, lunch and catch-up news (gossip) with her for over an hour!
Home Depot after Panera, practically in the same parking lot, for some much-needed flowers for the wasted pots at home. Oh, I couldn’t wait to get out there and plant some life back into the garden. I even bought two tomato plants for my big feeder tub.
I trimmed back all the hibiscus, cut the variegated ginger and the foxtail ferns back to the ground, then, I watered everything really well.
Oh, what a difference a little TLC makes. Now, we’ll just sit back to see what makes its way back to life. Hopefully, my back and legs survive the torture.
