The groundbreaking ceremony for the long awaited baseball field was held on Tuesday, December 18 at Gregory Park. Kelly Snook, Director of Galveston County Parks and Senior Services, welcomed the enthusiastic group that included members of the County Commissioners Court, Bolivar Chamber of Commerce, and Department of Parks and Senior Services.
“Galveston County is thrilled to host the ground breaking and launching of the construction of the multipurpose ball field at Gregory Park; we recognized the need for a quality recreational ball field on Bolivar Peninsula and soon it will be available to the Galveston County community,” proudly states Kelly Snook. The new Gregory Park Ball Field is expected to be completed by late summer 2013.
