There’s a lot to be said about making it to Grandparent-hood. It’s still really easy remembering being a parent – all the good stuff anyway. It’s fun to sit back and watch how your children handle it. They seem a lot more willing for everyone to pass around the baby, everyone gets a turn. All you have to do is sit there and look like you need to hold the precious little bundle and PRESTO! the little bundle gets handed over to you. Our 10 week old Grandson (and his parents) spent the weekend with us. We beached, we sat in the water, he slept, he took his afternoon snack out on the beach, he slept some more, he rode on the golf cart, the dogs snuggled with him, we all snuggled with him, and he slept some more. Then, we came back to the house for a relaxing bath in the kitchen sink, went out on the deck and he slept and we snuggled some more. Can you imagine a more laid back existence?
This little guy is #6 for us. They’re all amazing, from the 15 year old to the 10 week old. I get away with a lot, have been for 15 years now because, after all:
