That’s exactly what we did for 4 days. Our annual National Lampoon Family vacation. We joined at a new location up near Dallas. We came from Crystal Beach, Friendswood, League City and Israel. It was a 4-5 hour trip for most of us, the Israel people traveled for 19 hours altogether! We planned out our dinners, taking turns – who was to prepare which night. Everything came together without a hitch. The beer and wine were flowing along with gatorades to keep hydrated, very important. We had a pool too for cooling off and rousing games of water volleyball.
We even had a few games of tug-of-war. It took a few to figure out who was the champion. Same team won 3 times, I guess that proved who was the strongest!
Diving competitions into the lake, cannon balls, back flips, front flips, plenty of belly flops. Some of the younger ones honed their skills on the paddle boards and kayaks. Some of the over-achievers actually paddle boarded across the lake, a mighty far stretch!
We’ve begun to plan our next trip. Very exciting! A hint – it requires a passport – stay tuned.
