The Galveston County Health District has rolled out their new Animal Services website, www.arcpets.org. Public Information Officer Kurt Koopmann says, “The new site is designed to be user friendly and contains a wealth of information the public will find beneficial.” Along with information on adopting or fostering animals there are pages that cover how one can become a volunteer at the Animal Resource Center (ARC), registering pets, and it even allows people the ability to make online donations that can be used to benefit animals in residence at the ARC. In addition to donations it will also soon be possible for residents to pay pet registrations online.
The Animal Resource Center is located in Texas City at 3412 Loop 197 North. It can be reached at (409) 948-2485 or email at [email protected]. The ARC public hours are Tuesday through Friday 12 noon to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; they are closed Sunday and Monday.
