Summary: EXCELLENT Trout action for the surf waders this past week with several 4 to 8 lb specks coming in with a 9 and 10 lb speck caught and released. One 28 inch 8lb-13oz speck was weighed in at Stingaree Marina for the Star Tournament. Rollover bay came alive for the flounder anglers that wade-fished, taking several limits of the flatfish on live or plastic baits.

Speckled Trout:
TO THE SURF MAN!! the surf in the Gulf is producing both trophy and schooly trout- The trout action in the cut producing early and late when tides allow-(limit= 15 inch minimum for 10 trout with only one 25 inch trout per day allowed as part of your daily limit).
Redfish-(Red Drum):
Fair to good in cut but very good in surf (Limits 20 inches minimum to 28 inch maximum for 3 reds per-day- one over 28 inch red allowed when tagged and as a part of your 3 fish limit).
Black Drum:
Drum run is over with only puppy drum and a few bulls showing up. (14 inch minimum to 30 inch maximum for 5 fish per-day with one OVER 52 inches allowed when a part of your daily limit).
Flounder:
Excellent flounder in rollover bay but only a few coming in from the cut (14 inch minimum for 5 fish per-day).
Sheepshead:
SLOW, (Limit- 15 inch minimum with 5 per day Creel).
Gafftop Catfish:
Sporadic runs of gaff with some going to 8lbs. (14 inch minimum for no limit creel).
Whiting/Croaker:
Whiting mainly in the surf but the eating sized croaker showing up in the cut (No Limit).
Sandtrout/Gulftrout:
Sand trout are few but nice in the cut (No Limits).
Blue Claw Crab:
Steady crab but slow in numbers. (5 inches between points with no berry crabs;females with eggs, allowed).
Stone Crabs:
A few stones coming in from the rocky areas. (Limit; only right claw may be kept when 2 1/2 inches above first knuckle).
Stingaree bait camp report:
Excellent speck and red action around East Bay flats, reefs, and grass- many limits being had on both bait and plastic anglers when weather and tides allow- A 28 inch- 8lb-13oz speck was weighed in at Stingaree for the STAR tournament.
