Summary: Most action last week for reds and trout occurred mid afternoon on the outgoing tide with night speck action around 4am. Surf waders took nice trout to 6lbs on Mirror lures and soft plastics. Flounder bite was early on bay side bulkheads and rollover bay.

Speckled Trout– Good trout early on bayside with action switching to gulf side around mid afternoon- surf produced excellent trout to 6lbs on outgoing tides- night action was good between midnight and 4am. (Size limits- 15inches to 25inches for 10 specks with one 25incher per day when added as part of the daily limit).
Redfish– Good reds to 42inches within cut and surf with finger mullet the top producer- anglers beware tho as a lot of rat reds are hitting and must be released. (20inches to 28inches for 3 reds- with one over 28inches when tagged in addition to the 3 fish daily slot-limit).
Flounder– Early and late action only for bayside bulkheads and rollover bay- in the early predawn you can actually see flounder feeding on the flats as they chase schools of minnows- but outgoing tides produced some flatfish action along gulf sides east wall -(limit- 14inches minimum for 5 flounder per day).
Black Drum- Very good for anglers fishing finger mullet or cut baits with a lot of keeper eaters to 25inches with one 40lb BRUTE caught and released- REMEMBER, ALL drum under 14inches and over 30inches MUST be released. NO TAGGING(Limits- 5 per day at 15- 30 inches).
GAFF-TOP– -Good gaffs being caught on both sides on finger mullet or squid (limits-14inch minimum no creel limit).
Sand/Gulf Trout – Nice sized sand trout coming in for anglers fishing cut baits or soft plastics. (No limits).
Whiting/Croaker– Really nice whiting in cut and surf with periodic runs of golden croaker in pass. (No Limits).
Crabbing – GREAT crabbing along bay side bulkheads or sandbar edges of rollover pass and along the gulf sides west wall. (Blue Crab limits- must be 5inches across carapace -(point -to-point) no creel limits- BUT ALL SPONGE CRABS (egged females) MUST BE RELEASED.
Stone Crabs– Right claw only is kept if two are present- Stones with but one claw must be released- Right claw must be 2 ½ inches from the knuckle before being kept.
Shark – Lots of small to 30inch black tips close in with larger 4 to 5 footers out past the 3rd bar -(limit- 1 at 24inches)

CAN you give me a up date on the fishing at roll over this week aug 21 to the 24. thanks. the storm will hit the gulf next week fishing will be good.
