By Ed Snyder/Outdoors
Summary: Good to FAIR to EXCELLENT Depending on the weather and water conditions this past week provided either hard-head catfish bites or Mega-Trout and Drum action, when the bite was on speck action was good with several 4 to 9 pounders, hooked on live shrimp or soft plastics. EXCELLENT Drum action was had for anglers with a few good redslanded as well. But the bite of the week came in the form of some incredible sand trout action. Some large sandies up to 20 inches caught on soft plastics or shrimp. These were some of the largest sandies I’ve ever seen. But this recent cold front should burr the bite until weekend warmth heats it back up.
