If you’ve been by lately, you’ve probably noticed some big changes happening at the lighthouse! Steel Painters, Inc crews have been working hard to prep and paint the iconic black and white daymark stripes on the lighthouse tower. This is no small feat! These pros are up in a manlift, 100 feet high, tackling strong coastal winds to make this happen. We’re so grateful for SPI’s expertise, dedication, and determination to bring our lighthouse back to its original glory. They’re truly making history up there!
Huge thank-you to Jotun Paints for their incredible generosity in donating all the coatings needed to bring the lighthouse tower back to its original splendor. We’re so grateful for their support in preserving this historic landmark!
Very soon, a beautifully restored front entry door will be in place at the lighthouse! The immensely talented artist and blacksmith, Doug McLean, has been hard at work recreating this magnificent iron door, bringing history back to life with incredible craftsmanship.
