Crystal Beach Eagles Aerie 3719 hosted a very special guest Saturday, Grand Aerie Worthy President Rick Powell. The Grand Worthy President made his Official Visit to the Crystal Beach Eagles to recognize Aerie 3719 for reaching the 1000 Member Milestone. Mr. Powell presented to the #3719 Worthy President Jim Denys a plaque to commemorate the 1000 Member achievement. Jim said “Our Aerie’s growth mirrors the growth on the Bolivar Peninsula. Our dedicated Board, Trustees, Ladies Auxiliary and our many volunteers, present and past made this possible. It is truly satisfying to join this prestigious club.”
In return, Aerie 3719 presented The Grand Worthy President a $1000 check to the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH. The James Cancer Hospital is Mr. Powell’s 2022/2023 project. The James Cancer Hospital is known for its cutting edge treatment therapy that attacks the cancer while minimizing many of the negative side effects from other therapies.
About the Eagles- The Eagles have over 900,000 members in North America in over 1400 Aeries. The Eagles established in 1898 are one of the few Fraternal Organizations that are actually growing. The Eagles generously give back to the communities in which they are located as well as support many research organizations for Cancer, Heart, Kidney, Alzheimer, Spinal Injuries, Parkinson’s, and many more.
