David Wonders returns to Texas Crab Festival Kid’s Stage

gishDavid Wonders, with his colorful and comical magic shows and iconic Bodacious Balloon Art that is often larger than the recipient; free of charge to Texas Crab Festival Guest. Adults need not be accompanied by a child to get a sculpture. David will challenge Children and adults alike with his Brain Games: riddles, conundrums and lateral thinking exercises for prizes, and ever popular pull string Piñatas. David reminds everyone about the nonpareil CRAB LEGS held at the same stage Saturday afternoon.

About David Gish (aka David Wonders)
David Gish began his entertainment career as an outgrowth of a children’s church ministry in 1979. David is a part of the teaching ministry of Church of the Living Hope in Tyler Tx. David Wonders entertained troops with comedy amd magic in Kandahar Afghanistan as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom where David received two awards in recognition of his service.

David Taught magic and balloon art as therapy with David Copperfield’s Project Magic in the early 80’s. He was the first residential artist for Young Audience Association of Tyler in 2000 when he wrote, produced and performed: A Circus Celebration, and Science can look like magic. Both programs are designed to encourage young people to learn. He also wrote and produced “Don’t be Scared, Be Prepared” for the American Red Cross.

The Reading is Magic is re-written annually for schools and libraries to encourage reading and making positive choices; making its debut as part of a Red Ribbon Campaign. “Our students really enjoyed his show. It taught our students many valuable lessons. Thanks, Arlene Bergner, counselor Birdwell Elementary Tyler, Texas. Schools and libraries are two of David’s favorite venues because so much of life is about learning.

David is often encouraging students to learn about the world about them “Everything you see me do is something I learned to do, and my first books were checked out from the Tyler Public Library.”
