Bourbon Street in Crystal Beach

The 2023 Lighthouse Krewe Mardi Gras Parade cruised through the peninsula on Saturday amidst brisk temperatures and cool winds. Gathering at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and kicking off at 11:30am, the parade headed down Hwy 87 to toss beads and excitement to the many parade goers. The crowds were awed as the festively decorated floats, vehicles, and golf carts rolled on by with this year’s theme of “Bourbon Street Mardi Gras.” Awards were presented beforehand to the winning Large Floats, Small Floats, Vehicles, and Golf Carts. Plus the ever-important Kid’s Choice Award.

Thank you to the Lighthouse Krewe, all the paraders on floats and participants on the ground, and Camp Margaritaville RV Resort for hosting the starting venue. Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler!
