Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report and Tide Chart Sept 17 – Sept 24, 2012

By Ed Snyder/Outdoors
Summary: Red fish still in the number one spot for angler catches with croaker, whiting, gulf trout, and drum filling in the action. Speckled trout still providing some action but the phenomenal run we’ve had over the summer is null and void. Flounder activity is picking up but mostly undersized males being caught with a ratio of one keeper out of 10 flounder the norm. Cooler weather should touch off the main run of flounder soon. We’ve had some catches of Pompano at the pass lately. These are a rare delicacy indeed.  Also- read more for reports on Stingaree Marina!
