Workers from American Pollution Control Corporation are hanging out on our peninsula now. They’ve been here since the oil spill, ready to clean up any areas where oil may have come ashore. They have their “booms” placed out in the surf to catch any oil, but, according to one of the workers, they haven’t found any oil on the beaches. They are picking up trash and debris along the beaches and the rocks around Fort Travis, but it looks like debris that’s been there for quite a while.
