The United Methodist Women (UMW) of Bay Vue UMC and volunteers provided an appreciation luncheon for teachers and staff of Crenshaw Elementary and Middle School. They also honored the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) choice for Texas Elementary Principal of the Year Annette Dailey. Ms. Dailey was chosen out of 5,000 principals to represent Texas. She met all the criteria needed for this high honor. Among her many cited accomplishments was her leadership in promoting community involvement in Crenshaw School.
UMW Chairperson Mary Raney and Rita Moseley organized the luncheon to thank educators for creating a safe, happy and productive environment for Bolivar Peninsula youth. Patsy and Sara Kruft, Mavis Hunstinger, Elaine Rollfing, Laura Bryan, Sherry Morgan, Sandi Covington, Linda C. Elissalde, Janet Leigh Davis, Janice Billeck and Pastor Valerie Hudson contributed a plethora of tasty salads, breads, tea and mouthwatering desserts for the staff to enjoy.
Mary and her crew enjoyed presenting this meal to a most deserving group of educators. It was their way of saying, “Thank you, principal, teachers and staff of Crenshaw School for a job well done!”
