Ivo, or “AJ” to his family and friends, was one of twelve randomly chosen to participate in the inaugural event, Preseason Dreams, presented by Mattress Firm, at NRG Stadium last Tuesday evening. AJ responded to a Houston Texans contest online and was randomly chosen along with eleven others, ages ranging from 21-50 years of age. Wife, Brittany, and son, Brayden, joined him at the stadium for the competition.
AJ is a Paramedic here in Crystal Beach. Along with Sean and 24 other EMTs, AJ works in excess of 48 hours a week out of one of our Peninsula Volunteer Fire Departments. If you happen to see any of them, give them a pat on the back and thank them for their tireless service to our community.
The race began promptly at 6pm with such obstacles as Quarterback Toss, Ladder Drill & Build-A-Bed. As the race progressed, the contestants went from 12 to 4, then down to 2. Man, oh Man, when they announced the final 2, AJ really poured on the steam, Competition is his nature!
AJ is the Inaugural Champion and proud of it! As the grand prize winner, AJ received Houston Texans season tickets for the ’21 season, in addition to Churrascos Club Passes, valet Passes and Pregame Sideline Passes to each Houston Texans home game this season.
He, confidentially, owes his success to the training he received from his Mom and Brittany for his bed-making skills! Even a 6’4” medic needs to know how to make a bed!
