Peanuts & Popcorn

By Georgia Osten
It’s not always easy to get up there for the games, but it’s always a blast! We got an early start, too early, so we stopped by the house first and surprised everyone, especially some folks who didn’t know we were coming. That’s okay, we love to add a little more chaos to a situation. Pierce informed us immediately that he would be pitching tonight. Camber told us which fields to go to, #2 & #3. “You can sit on the bleachers and pivot to watch either field,” Riggs on #2 & Pierce on #3.

We decided dinner would be at the ballpark, they have the biggest juiciest hotdogs around. They’re actually Members Mark from Sam’s. We started with a big bucket of popcorn and oversized Gator Ades. There’s Fisher munching on our popcorn, yum!

Fisher informed us he’s going to do competitive swimming this Fall. He’s been off baseball for a couple of years now. Last Fall, it was soccer, this year, swimming. It’s all good, he’ll find his niche.

Fall baseball is “no score.” They still do the 5-run limit though. And it’s strictly timed – 1-1/2 hours. It was pretty exciting, but I missed not having a score. Too confusing with both games going on at the same time to keep score in my head.

Pierce did get to pitch the last 10 minutes of the game, he did very well – what a delight to watch!

The weather was beginning to get a bit precarious, so, as usual, we had to make our exit. You never know what traffic will be like and to avoid getting to the ferry after 9pm, we high-tailed it!

Can’t wait til the next game(s) and can’t wait to see our little Fisher Keep on Swimming!
