Betty is Eighty

Betty Williamson just celebrated her 80th birthday even though she looks much younger. Friends gathered at Tiki Bar and Grill on September 24 to honor this auspicious occasion. Owner Chris Gatlin and servers Rhonda and Cheyenne provided 5 star service. Set up, food and orders were done to perfection. Tiki even had a birthday sash to place on crowned Birthday Queen Betty.

Sandi Covington and Rita Moseley helped with decorations and handing out desserts. There were two birthday confections. Of course, Rita’s famous carrot cake was everyone’s favorite. Sandi and Rita enjoyed waiting on Chris and Karen. Rhonda, Cheyenne and the excellent cooks were given slices also. They were all outstanding.

Pastor Valerie Hudson blessed the occasion. A rousing chorus of “Happy Birthday” burst forth as Betty blew out her 80th birthday candles. Cheers and applause accompanied this special moment. Then Betty was presented with gifts and cards.

What a pleasant event! All participants had a mighty fine time celebrating BETTY’S 80th BIRTHDAY! May she have many more.
