Golf Cart Poker Run donates to Local Schools and Firefighters

The annual Golf Cart Poker Run is a beloved event in our community, known for bringing together locals and visitors alike for a day of fun, games, and giving back. This year was no exception, as the event raised over $44,000 to support our local schools and brave volunteer firefighters. On Friday night, event organizers proudly presented checks to representatives from High Island School, Crenshaw School, and the fire chiefs from our three volunteer fire departments. The night was also highlighted by the announcement of the talented young artists who submitted winning artwork for the 2025 design contest, showcasing the next generation of creative talent in our community.

The Golf Cart Poker Run would not be possible without the dedication of its many sponsors, volunteers, and enthusiastic participants. This truly is a community-driven event, where everyone plays a role in making a positive impact.

As we celebrate this year’s success, we’re already looking forward to next year’s Poker Run, scheduled for August 2. Mark your calendars and get ready for another incredible day of fun and support for our schools and firefighters!

Thank you again to everyone who contributed to making this event such a tremendous success. We can’t wait to see what next year has in store!
