Hi Y’all! We’ve missed sharing our funnies with you. You really don’t want to hear about the last twenty-four months, so let’s get started with life as we live it in the “slow lane.” We are living near Lufkin, enjoying life where it takes us. Especially, from the house to the front porch in our rockin’ chairs with an evening toddy in our hands. We purchased our home the middle of November with the help of our friend Connie. RR has been looking for somewhere for us to call home for about 3 years. Most of the places were near the Gulf Coast because I do love salt water fishing.
He showed me a picture of a house from his laptop and said “what do you think about this?” I fell in love! Then he showed me where the house is. East Texas – Fresh water and pine trees!
Because of events that have happened lately, Let’s say we live in the country. We live between the sign of Hudson and the sign of Lufkin. Our address is either road or lane, our street veers off a road onto mostly red sand/dirt.
Last week RR asked me to come outside to see something so I did. It was foot prints of a very large cat or dog. Not domestic I’m thinking. I love all fur babies but not these. A few days later, while we were eating our dinner, he told me about the strange sounds he heard while he was cooking our dinner outside.
So, Sunday afternoon I sat outside while he cooked. We were enjoying the day as it was sunny and warmer than normal. All of a sudden, there was the sound of dogs, but what shook me was a pissed off kitty sound! I looked a RR and he said, “I told you.” I was frozen to the chair and all I could think of was “where the Hell is a gun!?!” Dogs were still barking and then the cat gave out a yell. The fight began! Obviously, Kitty was saying “leave me alone.”
AND, They did!
