The new seniors of High Island, Class of 2013, are planning a trip for graduation and have come up with a great fundraiser.
I was out in my garden one afternoon, when a young man walked out to my back yard to tell me I’d been flocked!
Cody Vanzandt and his parents placed the 12 flamingos around a flower bed in the front yard of our house. I was so excited, “how long can I keep them?” I asked.
Twenty-four hours later, I had a list of folks to pass my flamingos on to. For $10 each I had 3 friends flocked, and for $20 I had The Kite Store “double-flocked.” How fun and what an ingenious way to fund a senior trip.
Good luck High Island High School!
