Customers will be required to wear masks in all Galveston businesses that serve the public, effective 12:01 am Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Mayor Jim Yarbrough signed on Monday an emergency order requiring commercial entities that provide goods or services directly to the public to establish a health and safety policy requiring face coverings for customers aged ten or older. The face coverings should fully cover your nose and mouth.
This order is in effect until at least 11:59 p.m. June 30 and could be extended by a vote of City Council during Thursday’s meeting.
