Captain Bryan’s Fishing Report, 4-28-2020

Captain Bryan's Fishing ReportThe Bay conditions the last few weeks have been dominated by fronts every few days with strong winds and cooler temps in the aftermath of each disturbance. This is great for yard work but really keeps the fish on the move with changing water conditions and small windows of opportunity. Water temps went from 79.5 to 69 in just a couple of days and as of Saturday it was back to the low 80’s. On one hand though, this has been good for waders who have had some good catches on shallow muddy shorelines in East Bay. Usually this time of year with Trinity Bay being fresh and the unsettled weather, the jetty area and beachfront can be worth a try with free lined live shrimp being the go to for live bait there. We had to postpone our weekend class since we need winds at a reasonable level to run the whole unprotected areas of East Bay but hopefully can get everything caught up soon.

With winds hampering a lot of days, now would be a good opportunity to take your boat for maintenance to Jorgensen Marine in Beaumont. The bad gasoline that we deal with now can cause a lot of expensive repairs to your motor if yearly maintenance and check outs are not performed. Jorgensen has a huge nice service area and are easy to get to at their new updated location on College Ave. You can be there quicker than you wait on that ferry. Their top notch service and certified Yamaha mechanics have kept my rigs in top shape for years!

I have some weekdays still open beginning in May. Also, some weekend days are open for classes in May and June. Classes are the Best time you will ever invest in to improve your fishing success for the long haul! I have added some special features this year!
