We will be closed to the public while partitions are erected in branch offices. Openings will be announced on the homepage of the GCTO website (www.galcotax.com) and on Facebook @Cheryl Johnson. As long as distancing is required by national and state leaders, public access will be limited to branches only. At least two members of the Property Tax Department team will be available in the Galveston Branch and Voter Registration, Accounting and Support Services staff will meet with the public in the Galveston branch as needed.
We are operating on a limited staff but are fully operational. We are available by phone and email during normal operating hours.
I apologize for any inconvenience but both the safety of the GCTO team and that of our customers is my primary concern. If you have questions, please call our main office toll free at 1-877-766-2284.
Of note – property tax deadlines have not been adjusted. Should the Governor make a decision otherwise, I will post an update on the GCTO website and Facebook.
