Texas Crab Festival Golf Tournament

The 2012 Texas Crab Festival got off to an early start when 36 golfers teed of for the Annual Crab Festival Golf Tournament on Saturday morning at the Crystal Beach Community Golf Course. Spirits were high and the brisk south wind did not seem to affect the attitude of the players as they headed out to their assigned starting hole. Not only was prize money at stake, but bragging rights, too.

Teams were randomly drawn the night before (with an A-B-C-D player on each team) and the ensuing Calcutta brought some lively bidding.

While waiting for the scores to be tallied, grilled boudin (donated by Todd Priuer) was served. Three teams tied for the winning score at 10 under. Tie-breaker rules were applied and the winners announced. Cash prizes were also given for the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
