On Wednesday, December 19 at 1:00 and 2:00 PM, the Texas Commission on the Arts and Target will offer free Houston Grand Opera performances of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel to students at Crenshaw Elementary School in Crystal Beach, TX. The 1:00 performance will be with elementary students and the 2:00 performance for the Middle School group. The performances are open to the public.
The Texas Commission on the Arts received a generous grant from Target to send storytellers, marionettes, theater troupes and opera to elementary schools in Crystal Beach, Fort Worth, Victoria, Galveston, Lake Jackson, Laredo, Longview, Midland, Odessa, and Wichita Falls.
Opera to Go! is an integral part of Houston Grand Opera’s HGOco department that works to inspire audiences of all ages with the magic of opera.
