Speckled Trout– Slower than last week but better than next week. Specks still producing good catches in the gulf, bay, and cut with some really nice trout to 26 inches (Size/limits: 15 to 25 inches for 10 specks with only one over 25 inches per day as part of the daily limit).

Redfish– Reds were the hot item this past week and should be gearing up for some pretty awesome future action while feeding on the golden croaker running thru the pass into the gulf. Anglers are taking advantage of the run with some 12 to 15 inchers already boxed (Size/limits: 20 inches to 28 inches for 3 reds, with one over 28 inches when tagged in addition to the 3 fish daily slot-limit).

Flounder– Slow but active, however flounder action should heat up as the bay waters cool when they‘ll come off the flats and start heading for their spawning grounds in the Gulf (Size/limits: 14 inches minimum for 5 flounder per day).

Black Drum- LOTS of keeper eater slot drum to 25 inches hitting anglers baits as well as HUGE BULL DRUM to 38 inches.  But remember,  ALL drum under 14 inches and over 30 inches MUST be released. NO TAGGING (Size/limits: 5 per day at 15-30 inches).

Sand/Gulf Trout – Sand trout are good but the larger gulf trout run should start their runs soon (No limits).

Whiting/Croaker– Lots of Atlantic and Gulf whiting in the cut as well as the surf and the golden croaker are starting their runs with some 12 to 15 inchers already boxed (No Limits).

Crabbing
Blue Crab Size/Limits- must be 5 inches across carapace (point-to-point). No creel limits- BUT ALL SPONGE CRABS (egged females) MUST BE RELEASED.
