We have a problem Crystal Beach!
Moving from the city, with an attic, closets everywhere, a double garage…how does one downsize to life in a beach house? Well, one way is to downsize, right, I mean, actually get rid of useless stuff. For instance, my yearbooks were in the garage back in the city…I mean, how often do you look at those things?? So, out they went in the trash! Well, since I’ve moved here, I’m constantly running into old classmates, WOW, wouldn’t it be great to look them up and reminisce?
Nevermind that old clutter! Now, I’m talking about your everyday stuff that you need to find a place to store from time to time. Like the Christmas tree…Yes, the Christmas tree has a home in the one-car garage (if you want to call it that – I’m sure a car couldn’t really fit in there). Actually, I’ve found that under the beds is a great place to store things. The Pack ‘n Play, the suitcases, extra pillows, my son’s shoe collection (he leaves another pair every time he visits), the plastic Easter Eggs. Oh my goodness, I never did find the Easter Eggs…we just didn’t have an Easter Egg hunt, too bad.
If I ever do find them, I intend to make an index of all my “files” located under each bed.
Happy Hunting!
GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
