Fishing pictures at Rollover Pass

First Picture is Mitch & Amy Ashley, Amy’s first Black Drum! Second picture is our friend Lisa Dailey, Her first Black drum! Both are the largest fish they have ever caught. Caught on 07/22/23. One on the shipwreck off the beach and the other was caught on the first rig from the beach. We all live in Nacogdoches. These girls are ready to go back! (They’re hooked)
These ladies did not compete in the tournament but brought in an outstanding stringer for their first-time-ever fishing experience.
Evie Nolen (12 yrs old) caught the Gulf Coast Grand Slam (including a keeper flounder) on her very FIRST bay fishing trip on May 22nd in East Bay (near Stingaree). Congratulations!
Andrew Sample caught this nice bull red on Saturday, gorgeous color and so unusual! After this photo, the fish was released.
“I LOVE to surf fish,” says Crystal Beach angler Rickey Rivers, showing the BIG BLACK DRUM he caught last week in the surf.
Roy Eyers of Magnolia Texas landed this nice Redfish (26 inches, 6-1/2 lbs) off the canal banks in Bolivar last week. But first he had to haul in the bait stealer, a blue crab measuring 8″ from shell tip to tip with an 18″ claw spread. Both hooked on live mud minnows.
