But the fact is that Christ
has been raised from the dead. He has become the first of a great harvest of
those who will be raised to life again. 1 Corinthians 15:20 NLT
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply,
Alleluia!
Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won,
Alleluia! Death in vain forbids Him rise, Alleluia! Christ hath opened
paradise, Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia! Following our exalted Head,
Alleluia! Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia! Ours the cross, the grave,
the skies, Alleluia! Christ the Lord is Risen Today

All denominations gathered at one location in Crystal Beach with close
to 200 people. Luke Scott and
Blaine Ochoa did a fine job on a song they did, and a group from First
Baptist of Crystal Beach also sang and two of the Sanctuary Sisters
sang the last song, and it was great. All
three ministers did a really good job with clear messages and Mr.
Lang worked hard to set up and take down the sound system in
dense fog and wind and a slight chill and some drizzle.
In High Island at the intersection of Hwy 87 & 124 about 50 worshipers gathered for Easter Sunday Sunrise Service as well.
Good News from "The Hill" Each Saturday in April, the ladies from the MethodistChurch
in HighIsland will be making Bar-B-Q Lunches
to sell to the community and to accommodate all the Birders on the weekends.Plate lunches will be sold
for $10 each at St. Mathews Methodist Church in High Island.
These ladies provide all the fixins that go with that great Bar B Q.
The Fellowship Hall at St. Matthew's Methodist Church provides a nice break area for lunch.
Progress on the new Catholic facility located on Hwy 87 in Crystal Beach can't come soon enough...
The space where St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crystal Beach, TX once stood is now under construction. This picture was taken right across from the Big Store parking lot. Until a new worship space is constructed, each Sunday at 8:00 a.m., a Mass is being celebrated at Crenshaw Elementary & Middle School at 416 Hwy 87, Crystal Beach, TX

Find
yourself a General Contractor:
In
the times of great Generals in ancient Rome,
March was the first month of the year and named Martius, in honor of the God of
War. It marked the coming of spring and the start of new military campaigns.
That may explain some of the March Madness we still see today.....
Jeph Burnett
Well
friend, our days of battling as legionnaires are behind us, but we are still at
war. Fighting to defend our squadrons, conquer new goals and optimize our
lives.
Having
a good offence as well as a defense will lend to an affective strategy to
successful outcomes The first step to building a project is to locate your
soldiers. You easily can find those that can do each of the trades.
Assembling
them one piece at a time is a great way to know what you're getting for a final
project. From the foundation to the roof everything requires a professional who
knows his craft. The sharp shooter knows his job and trains to implement his
skill when called upon.
Although time consuming and requiring much more research than if you can find a
General with the experience and warriors that are ready to fight your battles.
This only would demand that you find the loyalty of one instead of many. His
control over the masses is due to his knowledge of talent. His ability to lead
into a successful outcome. Everyone wants to be successful if they have pride
in their work.
To find the General you can look for the flash or hear the stories but to truly
know where his sincerity lies you must just have a conversation. Take the time
to question him and get him to bestow his knowledge upon you without effort.
Clear communication of your long term goals are the key to allowing just one to
control the task of so many.
Then listen hear his plan and feel as to if you can see his vision to make
yours come true. His steady and easy hand should guild you into something that
feels like success. Both the easy and the complex should be discussed. From his
relationships with his troops to the final day of the battle you want to know
that he will still be there to offer his guidance even after the job is
complete.
There
can be madness in a battle to achieve great things. Or there can be precision
work done to accomplish the monumental. All choices take time to consider and
have their own value. The cost to your mental state can not be accounted for if
you do not win the battle.
A
team of experts rarely will fall into your lap. You must consider time, energy,
imagination, and information that is required to find success. Utilizing a
General who has fought and won many battles before can help you both finically
as well as mentally.
This
leaves us to decide whether we should take on being the general or find one
with experience.

* CLOSING OF ROLLOVERPASS *
One of the mission purposes of the Gilchrist Community Association "is to
provide civic duties at RolloverPass" but RolloverPass
is in danger of being closed and we need your help. The Texas General Land
Office has applied for a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers to close RolloverPass. There is currently a public
comment time period occurring from now until April 12, 2010. After the
public comment period has closed, the Corps will review all correspondence and
make their decision whether or not to award the permit to the General Land
Office.
Here are some questions and concerns that we would
like to make sure the Corps of Engineers considers before considering the
permit.http://www.rolloverpasstexas.com/
